Send Rover On Over Photoshoot Day!
First off, we had an amazing time!!! For those of you who don’t know, I used to work at Send Rover on Over for many years, many years ago. I worked in the daycare, I taught weekly agility classes, I groomed and I even took some pictures back then too! To be back seeing all the dogs, mostly new faces, but also some originals brought a lot of fond memories back and made me very happy!

When we first planned on doing this photoshoot day, I did not know what to expect! I thought we would have maybe 10-15 dogs who would want to participate, but you guys are awesome and we ended up having a lot more than that! Things started off in full swing. Now usually I block off about an hour per dog for a shoot when we do them in studio, but clearly that was not going to work, we might still be there taking pictures ;) We had to move efficiently to make sure every dog that signed up got at least a few pictures taken.

The dogs were all really comfortable for the most part, and even though we didn't have a whole lot of time to spend with each dog, I think that being at the daycare where they are all super familiar helped make them all relax and have fun.
Shooting at the daycare also had some challenges! The environment just naturally has a lot of distractions, lots of dogs barking and playing, new dogs getting dropped off, dogs walking by to take naps, etc., so sometimes we would be just about to get a perfect shot and a dog in the daycare would bark and that would be that! It’s ok though, distractions happen in every environment so you just have to be ready!

Overall I think the day was a major success and we can’t wait to share all the pictures from the day. Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope to do it again in the future!
