The Boxer

One of our favorite breeds (and just to be clear, we love them all) is none other than the BOXER!!! Starting out with the boxer for the SHOPDOG’S DOG BREED INSIDE STORY, LOWDOWN, SCOOP was an easy choice for us, our original Shopdog and the logo of Shopdog Studios is our boxer Helmet. We got Helmet on a trip to Costa Rica while we were traveling. Trust me, we did not intend to bring a dog home, but he was just the cutest little egghead and we couldn’t leave him. So we did all the paperwork with a Costa Rican vet and because Costa Rica has the same rabies as the US, it was fairly simple. We packed him up on a little carry on bag and flew him home. It was awesome, and he was the best dog ever. His big goofy smile always made life bright and continues to do so just thinking about him.
The boxer breed is comical, kind, playful and sweet. They are great family dogs, loyal and protective. Boxers are equal parts active and lazy, their love for activity is equally matched to their love of cuddles and being coach potatoes. That’s one of the reasons why they are so great, such snoozers when you need a TV binge day and the perfect buddy to run around with.
